Chistmas

Throughout the year, during our regular worship time or at additional services, we come together to celebrate important parts of our Christian faith.  Some of our special services include:

Advent and Christmas

Messiah Sing Along

Music will be from Handel’s “Messiah” and performed by professional musicians and joined by the audience.

Advent Hours of Sanctuary

A warm, peaceful, candlelit space for silent prayer and contemplation. It will be a time for us to be present to expectation, but not beholden to the expectations. All it takes is a few minutes in a quiet sacred place to change our perspective, to slow down our heart rates, and to remind us of God’s presence among us. Please come to these Hours of Sanctuary for as little or as long as you like. All are welcome!

Annual Christmas Pageant

Join us for a creative and imaginative enactment of the Christmas story.

Christmas Eve Outdoor Family Carol Sing

Caroling around the Christmas Tree. We will end by singing “Silent Night” and distributing bells to children and youth.

Christmas Eve Indoor Services of Lessons

and Carols

A service of story and carols for the whole family.

Christmas Day

Join us for this shorter, simpler service with Christmas Carol sing, Holy Communion and a few surprises! Merry Christmas!

Lent, Holy Week, and Easter

Ash Wednesday Service

To begin the Lenten season, a simple service in the sanctuary, including silence, Scripture readings, music, meditation, healing prayers and the imposition of ashes.

Palm Sunday Service

Entering into Jerusalem, Jesus was hailed as the Messiah, the savior, the king.  Palm branches were laid before him and crowds thronged the streets.  But Jesus alone knew what really lay before him.

Maundy Thursday Tenebrae Service

"Tenebrae" means "shadows," so the service moves from light to darkness as candles are extinguished.  On his last night, Jesus gathered with his disciples  for a Passover meal.  We join together for a contemplative communion service in the vestry to place our hearts and minds upon Jesus’ last night with his disciples before his death.

Easter Vigil

An open sanctuary for prayer and meditation in recognition of Jesus’ death. All are welcome!

Stations of the Cross

Good Friday

We walk the 14 stations where crosses have been placed at the church.

Easter Sunday

Easter Sunrise Service

We meet to celebrate the resurrection of Christ and a new day.

Early Easter Service

9 a.m.

A joyous celebration of Jesus’ resurrection (no Sunday School today).
