Blessing of the Animals
WORSHIP at CCC
10:00 AM every Sunday (including during the summer)
Our worship service is informal and reflects our Protestant tradition. Children are invited to come up front during the Children's Time after which they can go to Sunday School, or remain with us in the sanctuary. During each service we seek to give space for silence as well as words and music, understanding that keeping silence together is a powerful way to approach the Holy. Our Director of Music Ministry, inspires us. Throughout the year guest musicians enhance our worship. We celebrate communion on the first Sunday of each month. Come and join us; you are welcome here!

Palm Sunday Service
Entering into Jerusalem, Jesus was hailed as the Messiah, the savior, the king. Palm branches were laid before him and crowds thronged the streets. But Jesus alone knew what really lay before him.
Maundy Thursday Service
Foot washing service in the Vestry, commemorating Jesus' love and care on his last night.
"Tenebrae" means "shadows" so the service moves from light to darkness as candles are extinguished. On his last night, Jesus gathered with his disciples for a Passover meal. We will gather for a contemplative communion service in the vestry to place our hearts and minds upon Jesus’ last night with his disciples before his death.
19 Hour Vigil
Members of the congregation are invited to sign up individually or in pairs to keep hour-long vigils throughout the day and night. For others it is an open sanctuary for prayer and meditation in recognition of Jesus’ death.
Stations of the Cross
We will walk up the hill behind the church and walk the 14 stations where crosses have been placed. (Wear mud boots)
Easter Sunrise Service
We meet in the parking lot walk to the top of the hill (bring mud boots!) to celebrate the resurrection of Christ and a new day.
A joyous celebration of Jesus’ resurrection
Our music ministry is an integral part of the church’s total ministry. It provides joy and inspiration to the congregation during worship and at other times.
Worship Service Music
Music for worship services includes regular offerings during the school year of both accompanied and a cappella music by the adult choir. The choir practices at 7:00 on Wednesday evenings. The choir takes a break during the summer.
We also have in our midst many talented children and adults who offer their musical gifts. Professional guest musicians also play for us from time to time. We have been fortunate to enjoy the talents of David Kerr, Jane Kittredge, Annemieke Spoelstra, Tim Cummings, Pete Sutherland, Jody Albright, the band Tumbleweed and many others.
Handel’s Messiah has been performed throughout the centuries as a heartwarming herald to the Yuletide season. We invite you on the first Sunday in December to this special afternoon of music accompanied by professional singers and musicians from the Vermont Symphony Orchestra. It is open to all, whether as singers, listeners, or hum-along enthusiasts. Date will be listed on our calendar.
Carols of Many Lands - A Singalong
In December, sing favorite carols in our candle lit sanctuary and learn some new ones too! Date will be listed on our calendar.
