Special Events Many events temporarily cancelled due to Covid.
Each fall, with the help of many wonderful volunteers, the church sells apple pies made by hand in our kitchen. Two days a week throughout September and October, pies are baked in the morning and then sold to passersby on Church Hill Road. Usually cars are lined up ahead of time and the pies sell out in short order. This is an important fund-raising effort which doubles as a connection to the community at large. Our "Pie Ministry" was introduced and we sold a second pie at a discount and these pies were delivered to a charity of the day, another way of reaching out!
Annual Harvest Festival
Sunday, October 5th, 2014 saw our first event celebrating fall, the Harvest Festival. A bountiful potluck lunch after service, tables with fresh produce, baked goods, clever greeting cards, and other fun items for sale, and "time and talent" auction were part of the warm and festive gathering. Date will be posted on our calendar.
In December, as Christmas approaches and everyone is ready for peaceful respite, we raise our voices in harmony to the notes of Handel's beloved piece. In late afternoon, as the sun sets, winter's chill is kept at bay in the sanctuary during this very popular event. Date will be posted on our calendar.
Carols of Many Lands - A Singalong
In December, sing favorite carols in our candle lit sanctuary and learn some new ones too! Date will be posted on our calendar.
